SB 6511 - Adding the rules of evidence to DVPOs

Something needs to be done to clean up the DV scam in family court.  This bill won't see the light of day this year.  But, maybe next session?  Who knows.  Could just be lip service.  But, rumor has it, a bill might be incubating in the House, as well.


The DV Divas basically don't oppose adding evidentiary standards in separating dads from kids, but they claim it would be just too hard for women to get represented in order to get evidence on the table.  That was coming from the NW Justice project lawyer sitting there on our tax dollars.  At the end, Andy challenges them all to find a law firm that will turn a woman away on DV allegation cases.  "$200 a month" . . . that's all they ask.  Women do not need a retainer and they all know it.  In most cases, men end up losing the case (Family court and in Appeals court) and being forced to pay the women's counsel back after being ran into bankruptcy.  All the while (in these cases) she is on a pro bono ride from the DV mafia attorneys.  They know they will get attorney fees so they "pro bono" up front.  The Divas also claim the courts are too "overburdened" to hear evidence and make sound, rational well thought out decisions when peoples life's are at stake.  "It would take too long."  Please, have you ever heard the crap these courts waste their time on in contentious divorces?  A DV hearing is a looooong "he said, she said" mud slinging match that is nothing but utter drama and crap ending in a biased decision against the man stating "I believe her and I don't believe him."  So, basically, the DV Divas know they have a stacked deck and unfair advantage but don't want to lose it.  They are trying to create as many smoke screens as possible to distract from the issue of evidence.  The DV industry has spent a long time building this "the rules of evidence do not apply" DV racket and they are not about to let evidence come into the mix now.  Are you kidding?  The good Senators need to step up and do the right thing and start adding some due process and fairness when ripping kids and fathers apart.  DVPO's don't stop murderers and violent A*holes.  DVPO's only stop law abiding citizens.  Adding rules of evidence will not jeopardize any woman's safety.  It will give a good dad and his kids a chance to have a relationship and force malicious mothers to act like decent human beings for a change.  Criminal due process and evidence should be required for criminal sentences.  This bill would be a small step in the right direction in cleaning up the family law mess and DV racket.  Do the right thing Senators.
