Oklahoma Legislator Blasts Family Law System
Representative Nelson (R-Oklahoma City), a child of divorce, said:
"[O]ur current divorce system is a racket that enriches attorneys and makes children and communities poorer. Divorce scars children and leaves them emotionally disfigured. The current divorce laws are perverse and they are destroying children and our society."
Representative Nelson spoke movingly about his childhood and watching the pain on his father’s face at not being allowed to spend much time with his son, as well as the financial privations the system put upon him. Nelson concluded with a call for a presumption of shared parenting after divorce.
BTW, we'll miss the Truther as he/she(?) pursues other endeavors in life. These three will be gleefully missed as they ride off into the retirement sunset with loads of tax payer and legally extorted dollars. Meanwhile, it appears the Ed Holm (also a former partner in Connolly, Tacon and Meserve-Szurszewski Law Firm) retirement didn't end the TCPA office's (part of Thurston DV, Inc.) unquenchable appetite for VAWA DV dollars and blatant DV legal abuse on innocent men and children. There is some interesting stuff brewing with the TC legal and DV racketeers these days. Paula Casey trained Chris Wickham is at the front end of this one. Stay tuned!
